About the Artist

Zachary Bacus is a 2014 graduate from the University of Hartford with a bachelors in Fine Arts and majored in illustration. Zachary has studied advertising, editorial, and bookillustration, and has decided to look into the editorial and book illustration fields upon graduation.

His dedication to his work has granted him both the dean’s list and president list every year at the University, and has received other awards including the prestigious Irma & Mort Handel Illustration Award and best illustration portfolio in 2012.

Zachary has also created a book dummy and two spreads for a children’s book, giving him experience in the book illustration field that very few students have at graduation.He also has studied 2D animation and 3D character modeling.
